Browsers cache temporary internet files so they do not have to download files they display frequently. Some times the browser does not download a new file because if believes the new file to be a file that it has already cached.
This causes problems in Cap-Dat ACORD when PDFs will get filled with the data of a previously opened form because Acrobat & IE (Microsoft Internet Explorer) neglect to download the new form because they believe they have it cached.
These are the settings which will correct this...
1. In Adobe Acrobat, click on the "Edit" menu at the top of the screen.
2. Select "Preferences".
3. Select "Forms" under the "Categories" list.
4. Make sure that the "Keep forms data temporarily available on disk" option is NOT selected.
5. Select "Internet" under the "Categories" list.
6. Make sure that the "Display PDF in browser" option iS selected in the "Web Browser Options" section.
7. If this option is already selected, reset it by deselecting it,
8. Click "OK" to allow it to reconfigure, and then select it again by repeating the above process
so that it will reconfigure again.
9. You may need to reboot.
If the above steps do not solve the problem, proceed to the following steps...
1. In Internet Explorer, click on the "Tools" menu at the top of the screen.
2. Select "Internet Options"
3. On the "General" tab, click the "Settings" button in the "Temporary Internet Files" section.
4. Select the "Check for newer versions of stored pages: Every visit to the page" option.
5. Close and restart Internet Explorer.
